By downloading or using Stargazer, you agree to these terms.

License

Stargazer is a paid application. A purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive lifetime license to use the app, tied to your GitHub account and usable on all your own devices. You may not resell, redistribute, or share your license with others.

Free trial

New accounts receive a one-time 7-day free trial with full functionality, one per GitHub account. When the trial ends, a purchase is required to continue using the app.

Payment and refunds

Stargazer is a lifetime license paid once, with no subscription. Payments are processed by Polar as Merchant of Record. Refunds are handled under Polar's 14-day refund policy; a refunded license is deactivated. We may change the price at any time; changes never affect purchases already made.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Stargazer lawfully and in accordance with GitHub's and any AI provider's terms of service. You are responsible for the API keys and accounts you connect to the app.

Third-party services

Stargazer integrates with GitHub, optional AI providers (any ChatGPT-compatible API or a local model server), and Polar for payments. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.

Warranty and liability

Stargazer is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups.

Changes

We may update these terms or the privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
